Diablo Lake is a reservoir located in the North Cascade mountains of northern Washington state in the United States. It was created by the Diablo Dam and is part of the Skagit River Hydroelectric Project managed by Seattle City Light. The lake is known for its striking turquoise color, which is a result of the surrounding glaciers grinding rocks into a fine powder that gets carried into the lake by meltwater.
